Customise Expert Recommendations
I’d like to request the ability for salons to customise when Expert Recommendations are sent to clients, rather than them automatically being delivered 24 hours after an appointment. In today’s omnichannel retail environment, clients often begin searching for products immediately after leaving the salon. The current 24-hour delay means we frequently miss the peak buying window, as clients are already looking online for the products recommended during their service. Because of this, our team is currently manually sending clients an SMS immediately after their appointment with a link to a category on our website and our personalised product recommendations. This only takes about 30 seconds longer than using Expert Recommendations, but it allows us to get the recommendation to the client much faster and direct them to our branded website, increasing the likelihood that they purchase from us rather than a competitor. If we could adjust the timing of Expert Recommendations (for example: immediately after checkout, within 1–2 hours, or at a custom time chosen by the business), it would: Allow salons to capture retail sales while the service is still fresh in the client’s mind Reduce the likelihood of clients buying recommended products from online competitors Support salons operating in a modern omnichannel retail model Improve retail conversion rates for salons and brands At the moment the functionality exists, but the 24-hour restriction limits its effectiveness as a retail tool. Giving salons the flexibility to choose the send timing would make Expert Recommendations far more powerful and commercially effective.
