Date of Birth function is difficult to use

the date of birth function is really difficult to use so many older clients simply dont fill it in. can it be changed to a different format to make it easier please

I find suggesting that clients start with the year & then work backwards on the DOB is helpful to most, as the calendar will always show the current date. On the tablet in our centre I click onto the year for them so that they only need to scroll. I guess the easiet way of resolving the above issues would be to have a date format that you simply enter the numbers into, as this would make it more user friendly all round.
