+1, this is the number that tells you whether you're overstaffed on a given day, and right now you have to build it yourself. Until Phorest adds it, here's a way to get it from what's already there. Export the staff rota (scheduled hours per stylist per day) and the appointment list for the same month. For each stylist and day, add up the booked minutes and subtract them from the rostered minutes. What's left is your white space. Divide booked by rostered and you get utilisation as a percentage. Then put it in a simple grid of stylists down the side and days of the week across the top. Most salons find it's a couple of specific days or time blocks, like Tuesday mornings or the last two hours on a Thursday, not the whole week. Those are the shifts to shorten, stagger or fill with rebooks and offers first. Rerun it a month later to see if the gaps closed.
