Multi-location businesses currently have no way to request stock from another branch or central warehouse inside Phorest. The process happens outside the system through paper, email, or phone, with manual stock adjustments required afterwards. This leads to inaccurate inventory, double ordering, and no shared visibility on what has been sent, what is outstanding, or what is on backorder.
The suggestion is a built-in internal ordering system between branches:
A branch submits a stock request to a nominated location (head office or warehouse) directly in Phorest. The fulfilling location sees the request, ticks off or adjusts individual product quantities, and dispatches the order. Stock at the fulfilling location updates automatically. The requesting branch then receives the delivery, confirms each product against the order, and applies it. Stock at their location updates automatically. Any unfulfilled items can be flagged as a backorder on the same order and remain visible to both locations until fulfilled, or simply removed if no longer needed.
This removes manual adjustments entirely, keeps backorders tracked in one place, eliminates paper, and gives every multi-location business real-time accuracy across all branches. This would benefit every salon, spa, and clinic running more than one location on Phorest.
