Cash Open & Close buttons

The current drawer system treats cash balances as a continuous running total, causing mid-day closures to retroactively alter historical expected cash figures rather than isolating that specific shift. Closing and counting a till mid-day—whether for a shift handoff or a bank deposit—needs to act as an absolute, permanent cutoff. Once a drawer is closed, its expected cash balance should lock instantly so the next shift can open on a clean base without corrupting prior audit trails or altering past data.
