Michelle . This wouldn't be for a refund. It is in an instance when we want to make a bank deposit. when we do it as petty cash it puts it in to sundries in reports not as cash out.

Melissa Coker are you using QuickBooks for your accounting and doing the bookkeeping in-house? Our front desk uses the petty cash function if they take cash out for any reason and put the reason for doing so in the notes. When I do the bookkeeping I can reduce the amount we have in the drawer and do a deposit to the bank. Even though it's counted as a sundry in Phorest, the cash is deducted and when they close out at night the totals should be correct unless they do it incorrectly.
