we cannot use the staff utilization reports as the are since we cannot remove all no professional people from the calculation. we have many support and management people that show as available but no bookings. this dramatically skews any calculations.
we need the ability to monitor utilization for bookable people only.

Remove associates from utilisation reports

associates are required to show on the schedule as support for stylists who are working on $ generating services. having an empty schedule show in the utilization report skews the results.

Can you add the option to select multiple staff members thereby excluding the ones we do not want. Every week we run this, export, delete our front desk support staff and then get our utilization.

Can we exclude self employed staff for this report too

Be aware that no shows will also be counted as utilization. This will always mess up the report

Simon Li even if the appointment is removed?

Sydney Osborne no if removed, it’s not counted. Not sure if the no show report will be affected then.
I guess the appointment won’t show up as a no show in the clients history, if it’s removed.

Sydney Osborne the utilization report is very bare bones. It just counts how much time is taken by a service in schedule.
As for now it doesn't offer any option to exclude one certain employee or category of employees.
As a result the actual productive utilization is hard to determine, because the unutilized time from trainees gets thrown into the mix and no shows as well.

I totally agree with this. We have a gel removal column where our salon coordinators removed gels. It is not always busy so would like to have the option to exclude this in utilisation like you can exclude self employed.

Be aware as for know the utilization report will also count in the no shows as workload, because it simply counts the used slots in the calendar.
It needs a precise diagram of how the time was utilized and the no show percentage aswell.
Or even an option to pick certain staff and services and services categories aswell.
In its current state it’s just a rough estimate and completely broken for controlling purposes
