If the transaction was collected incorrectly, it should be possible NOT to have to retract the payment. Only so that internal corrections can be made! Without changing the amount, e.g.

If they leave a deposit, I really wish it wouldn't auto refund, or give the option for the refund, but not just refund it because they wan to reschedule at a different time other than when calling.
