When a client uses a gift card that was sold at a discounted rate, it applies the discount to services and subtracts from the total, "membership tax equivalent" The customer should not see this on their receipt. The receipt should never state the wrong total.
This - "membership tax equivalent" really needs to be removed from the customers receipt.
The purpose of this is to ensure that the value of services/products redeemed against the discounted gift cards/ membership matches the money we receive for our private business records.
If you can't do this then remove it from both copies and add it to a report or to view in the sales transactions only.
