Need a log for chargebacks
Christina Lynch
Ever since we have started charging clients for no shows we are getting chargebacks. The Phorest e mail is nice and they are easy to manage, but it seems like it would be a lot easier for Phorest to have a portal within Phorest Pay where we can see and manage and check on them. Today I realized I missed an e mail for a chargeback because I was on vacation and the respond by date passed already. Sending 1 e mail and thats it isn't really a great process. If I had a tab to go in where I could check periodicallly I copuld ensure they ate kept up on.

How Chargebacks/Disputes are currently handled

I would like to raise a concern and suggestion regarding how chargebacks/disputes are currently handled and displayed in Phorest.
From a user perspective, there is no clear, real-time visibility when a chargeback occurs. Ideally, we should be able to see this reflected directly within the Reports → Finance screen on the date the dispute is received by Phorest/Stripe.
For example:
Service date: 3/1/26 for $50
Chargeback received: 4/6/26
On 4/6/26, I should see a debit line item of $65 ($50 + $15 Stripe fee), similar to how Gift Cards or Petty Cash are displayed, with that amount clearly deducted from that day’s totals.
Then, if the dispute is resolved in our favor:
Dispute won: 5/1/26
I should see a $65 credit reflected in the 5/1/26 totals - similar to how Gift Cards or Petty Cash are displayed, with that amount clearly deducted from that day’s totals.
Currently, tracking this requires manually searching and applying multiple filters just to identify when funds were withdrawn and when they were returned. This process is not intuitive and creates unnecessary confusion.
A more streamlined and transparent approach, like the example above, would significantly improve financial tracking and reconciliation.
Please let me know if this is something that can be implemented or if there are existing features I may be overlooking.

The entire chargeback process needs to be more transparent. The lack of information we receive during the entire chargeback process is maddening.
