a client today wanted to charge one card an amount and then another card the balance if like the voiucher there was drop down option to pay on two different cards

This is now available - you can add multiple credit cards and specify how much to charge on each. Download the latest version of Phorest to get it https://www.phorest.com/downloads/
Click the calculator on the credit payment method and there's now an option to add another credit card. Click add credit card and choose an amount, then do it again as many times as needed to get to the full amount required. When you click Pay the terminal will do each payment in turn then with the applicable amounts.

Is this only an issue in the beta browser version? Or is this something we will have to worry about when switching over to Stripe?
