Forcing the deposit to be on the individual services, as opposed to the package, does not provide a clean client experience.
This is because the business does not require deposits for individual services -- they only require a card on file to book the appointment. However, since their packages range from $400 - $700, they DO want a deposit on the package itself, and the packages only. However, those services that are in the package can be booked a la carte if the client wishes.
For example, let's say a client wants to book an individual service not in the package, a 30 Minute Reflexology Massage for example. Because the business does not require deposits for individual services, they would just need to leave a card on file.
Next time, let's say this same client wants to book one of the services that happens to be in one of the packages, a 60 Minute Body Wrap, a la carte. Suddenly, they're required to put down a 25% deposit (or whatever number the business would require), because the business has to put the deposit on the service rather than on just the package itself.
