Have an online waiting list. There’s a few booking software programs that are so basic that have this feature. A client should be able to add themselves to an automated waiting list on whatever day and then get the option to book for a later date.

please make this happen. Client retention and customer experience would be greatly improved and free up time from reception if clients could add themselves to a waiting list choose dates and times that they prefer then if we have a cancellation the system could notify those on the list and they could book the appoint by clicking a simple button (like "yes I will take it!") Also prompting client when canceling or try to reschedule to use the waiting list if the time they are looking for is unavailable.

We utilize a web based program for our priority list to get people in for their desired time/date that we can not accommodate right away. It would be so great when a guest try’s to book online and they can not find their desired time and date, that they could at the very least fill out a form with their name, phone number, service provider, service, date and time desired. Then if this could just be sent to our desk emails we could add it to our other web based priority list. :) or if Phorest would want to make it an all in one that would be even better!

Yes great idea - this would work so well alongside when a client reschedules or self-cancels an appointment if then anyone on the waiting list for that particular date was alerted that an appointment was free and thus be a greater chance of filling a gap left in the diary. Definitely a feature to consider adding as it would be an immediate revenue booster.

We are a 6 chair salon and completely automated through Phorest, the more automated the clients can add themselves to the waitlist giving their preferred day and time of day, the better for us.

My previous software would email a guest on the waitlist if someone canceled an appointment. And automatically fill that spot.
