Hey guys, I am a massive fan of Phorest but the new app is driving me nuts when trying to add notes, see previous notes etc. I really don’t want to go back to the old app. Just wondering if anything can be done as a priority to make it easier for us, pretty please?

Hi Lilly,
Thanks for your feedback on notes. Would you mind sharing more detail about what's making it hard to use? I've attached a screenshot of the latest design. Are you seeing this in your app? Do you find this useful? All past appointments and notes are accessible here now. And all client notes are visible when you open an appointment.
Any and all feedback would be really helpful.
Thanks,
Rich

Phorest Product: hey, thank you for replying so quickly. The notes you refer to only edit the client note as opposed to the appointment notes. The colour notes are the one we need quick access to as we’re often on the go so ideally would really like it to be more obvious. I have just seen that there is a tiny edit button (see pic) that isn’t very obvious when trying to add notes quickly on a busy day.
Also, the copy notes button is good but it would be even better if it was also an edit button as we often need to edit the note rather than copy and paste.

1. LILLY Director: Thanks Lily, this is really good feedback.
We will be looking at this again but likely in a few months. However, if we can make any quicker and smaller tweaks (such as the adding an Edit button as you suggested) then we will do that sooner if possible.
Thanks,
Rebecca

Phorest Product: frustrated that Phorest won't make this a priority, it is significatly slowing down our stylists at the color bar while mixing trying to find old information. It needs to all be in one place like before. Too many taps !

Tina ~: Hey, we've do have this change marked as a priority. This takes a few day to build and a few days to test the change before releasing the update. New designs attached. Do these look better to you?
Thanks,
Rich

Phorest Product: In my opinion, when you click on a clients name, you should be able to click purchase history and see every purchase they have made with the date they purchased it in order.
Same for appointment notes. They need to be back to back with the date it was entered. -similar to how our old paper cards looked.
Example:
Purchase history:
1-1-23 oleo relax
2-1-23 medium hold hairspray
3-1-23 shampoo
Appointment notes:
1-1-23 base- 6.0 30g 20v 45g
2-1-23 starting to lighten base
Base- 6.0 25g 7.0 5g 20v 45g
3-1-23 base- 6.0 20g 7.0 10g 20v 45 added a halo highlight of Pwd 10v
(this is from a senior stylist )

Tina ~: Thanks for sharing this Tina.
Your description of purchase history exists already. Tap the clients name, tap 'Products' and you will see a list of every product they have ever purchased with a date stamp.
Regarding appointment notes, my understanding is that the note is most useful when shown beside the service and staff member who performed it. In the past we heard that notes in a list without context were difficult to understand. However, I like what you've suggested and am certain we can find a better solution.
Would you like to join me on a call next week and we can chat about some ideas?
Thanks,
Rich
