Phorest Product this is a great update - 1 suggestion - allow staff to clock out is outside of the geofence but it goes to an approval status that management needs to approve before it its accepted. or if they are working a trade show at a different location allow their time clock to be in an approval status so they can still track those shifts too.

Alisha Brooks I’m strongly suggest staff clock in and out feature should be auto when they approach salon and leave salon.

CARLOS . If it was auto, would it not clock them in and out when they just come to salon for other things besides work? Im just trying to understand what you mean by auto:)

We release Geofencing Clock In/ Out on Phorest Go today. This enhances clocking in/out on Phorest Go, by bringing an invisible geofencing surrounding a branch, helping owners entrust their team is onsite and helping teams by reducing congestion at the front desk to clock hours onsite from their phones.

A a quick start checklist to get it started:
Go to Manager > Rosters > Enable Clock In/Out
Go to Manager > Settings > Phorest Go
Enable Geofencing
Set preferred max distance (default is 50m/yd; minimum is 15m/yd)
Set preference for offsite clock out. Allows staff to clock their finish time outside the radius and is recorded as offsite
Go to Manager > Access > Phorest Go > Enable Clock In/Out permission
Advise the team to check app stores for the latest version of Phorest Go.
Phorest Go users can clock in in the side menu via Time Management > Clock In
Phorest Go users will be prompted to allow location permissions on their first attempt. Precise location is preferred for best accuracy
Teams clock in at start of shift and clock out at the end of shift, each working day. There is no automatics clock when inside the radius

Definitely needs to use the location feature of the device to ensure that it is being used with the ring-fence of the geo-location to avoid it being abused

Can it be only in certain ip address? For instance, I don’t want them to clock in from their homes, only salon.

I disagree. Let’s not get carried away. A small inconvenience outweighs time theft. Please don’t implement this until proper measures are taken to prevent theft of time.
