Clarification for clients when rebooking/ rescheduling on app

I have encountered multiple clients that have made attempts to reschedule their appointment online to a new date. When selecting rebook on their current standing appointment, they are under the impression that they are rescheduling their appointment to a new date, where instead it is double booking them to a new date and keeping their original appointment on the schedule. I feel that clients need a clarification window of whether they are moving an existing appointment or just copying it to a new date. This creates a grey area when determining whether to charge for a no show when the client is showing good faith to reschedule.
