Our old system automatically blocked off 15 minutes before and after an appointment so we are not completely back to back. This would be useful to have so our therapists are not solidly back to back all day aside from their break.

At the moment the online booking platform will only check the time gap from the last appointment and won't check the time gap for the next appointment.

This is creating small un-usable gaps from the end of the online booking to the start of the next appointment.

While it would limit the availability shown online it is losing us money and we would like the option to force the gap time check on both sides of the appointment.

It would be extremely helpful if the minimum gap size could be made significantly more flexible. At the moment, the maximum is 60 minutes, but we need the ability to set a freely selectable number of minutes.

Why is this the simplest solution?

We primarily sell balayage appointments, which are scheduled for 180 minutes, and our opening hours are 9 hours (10 AM – 7 PM). To optimize our schedule, we would like to offer appointments only every 3 hours.

However, the current system allows clients to book, for example, at 11 AM, which creates gaps that often cannot be used efficiently. The 1-hour gap in the morning leads to an additional 2-hour gap later in the day.

As a result, in this example, we can only fill 66% of our day with our core business, and in the worst case, the gaps remain unfilled.

We also tested setting the minimum gap size to 0 minutes, but this led to another issue: the system no longer functions as intended. Suddenly, clients are able to book appointments at any time, even every 15 minutes. It seems that the system does not account for any gap size before appointments and offers available slots without any restriction.
