I’m reaching out because we’ve been having difficulty consistently capturing how new clients are finding our salon through our front desk team. To improve accuracy and streamline this process, I would like to request a small addition to our online booking flow.
Would it be possible to include a short (approximately 30-character) field during the online booking process that asks:
“How did you hear about us?”
Ideally, this would allow clients to enter responses such as:
Google, Friend, Facebook, Yelp, TikTok, Instagram, etc.
This information is extremely important for us, as it helps us better understand which marketing channels are performing well and where we should be allocating our advertising budget to continue bringing in new clients.
Please let me know if this is something that can be implemented, or if there are any existing features that may already support this.

When a new client books online it would be helpful if they are asked to choose where they were referred from eg google. I know we can input this ourselves manually but it would just make it easier if the client had to input this when creating their account.

I would love for new clients to have to choose where they heard about our salon when they book their first appointment online. It would help tremendously for know what marketing efforts to invest in.

Hi there,
So I run a mens grooming salon and know for a fact men don't like to fuss to much and like to keep the booking procedures as easy and simple as possible.
My business is new and so far every clients feedback has been great but for marketing and for me to monitor this along side everything else it adds up and hard to keep pushing my staff to do the same and hard to then track their performance of how they are building up their column.
However, for me to track and monitor how they heard about my brand I think for new clients will be good to have a system in place for, Where did you hear about us tab maybe prior before completion of their booking?
Maybe have the main essential tabs ie Instagram, google etc but also give us the options to for add ons as everyones marketing strategy is different?

Ideally you will introduce this on all consent forms but for any other clients the front of house staff forget most of the time. This would ensure that even if they are busy they will make a note and add later. It is essential that we know where our marketing spend is effective.

When booking an appointment for a new client there should be a place in it to ask how the client heard about us so salons can track it for their marketing purposes on the appointment screen without going into the client card. Also added into consultation forms
