First-party conversion tracking and marketing attribution for online bookings
P
Peter Borg
Please enable first-party conversion tracking and marketing attribution for online bookings.
Currently bookings take place on the phorest.com domain, which breaks attribution between the salon’s website and advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok and GA4.
The current flow is:
salon domain → phorest.com booking → conversion
Because the booking occurs on a different domain, marketing identifiers such as:
gclid
utm_source
utm_medium
utm_campaign
fbclid
ttclid
are lost before the booking record is created. This prevents accurate measurement of marketing performance and return on advertising spend.
Requested improvements
Allow conversion events to be triggered from the salon's own domain (first-party) or via server-side webhooks so that bookings can be attributed correctly to advertising platforms.
Example desired flow:
salon domain → booking → conversion
Additionally, store marketing identifiers (gclid, utm parameters, fbclid etc.) within the booking record so that salons can understand which campaigns and services generate bookings and revenue.
Benefit
This would allow salons to:
accurately measure advertising performance
attribute bookings to campaigns and channels
optimise marketing spend
track revenue by service and campaign
This capability is now standard for modern analytics and advertising platforms and would significantly improve marketing insights for Phorest users.
