If you go into a clients file it shows a client that cancels or doesn't show. This should flag up when the client calls to book so a deposit can be asked for

Had "deposit required" switch on the client card with our previous software provider and it was invaluable for taking deposits for persistent late cancellers/no showers. If switched on a deposit payment was required before a booking could be confirmed.

I feel we need to be able to add a button so you can turn on deposits or full pre payment for individual customers (frequent no shower's) we don’t want to have it as a blanket feature for all appointments but there is no option at the moment to protect us just from forgetful customers.

As Phorest won't create a check box function to force a client to pay a deposit (persistent no show/first visit no shows) we have to rely on the "banning" feature to do the job instead (yet another workaround). By "banning" a client Phorest pops up a warning asking if you wish to continue with the booking. We trained our staff to decipher this as "take a deposit" before booking this client.
If you're not going to create a "take deposit" feature can we at least have a report that shows a list of "banned" clients and whether they have any future appointments?? At least then, as the salon owner, I can see if my staff are taking deposits.

We want to offer auto pay to make check out faster. BUT we do not want to be charged extra fees from the credit card company since the card would not be inserted or seen as a charge without card present. Also, we would not pay additional charges to phorest for this service.

Has anyone had a client trying to pursue there no show charge? For a refund. Do you they have a leg to stand on? Thanks
