I feel that active vouchers should not be shown on POS as the client may not have received the voucher yet as a present and some less experienced staff may tell the client about them.

I'm not 100% certain, but I believe that can be controlled in Manager - Settings - under Point Of Sale? Where it asks to "Print Gift Card on Second Receipt". We don't print a lot of receipts here but we have that tuned off.
