Automatically Scan Archive When Adding a Guest

Would love if when creating a booking for a “new guest” that the system could tell us if they have an existing file, archived or even not. Something to flag similar information?
We have guests that are coming back after a few years and while I recognize the names as a long time employee, many others don’t. It would help make sure any notes on file that could be pertinent to past purchases or previous issues with the guest. Could be guest preferences, previous history in services, and even notes if we do not want to be rebooking that client, even if just with a specific stylist.
Also makes it less awkward when the stylist consulting asks how the guest heard about us and they explain they used to come to the salon.

Thanks for this suggestion, and apologies for the slow follow-up. We're closing it as it's been inactive with low engagement, to keep the board focused on what's most active. If it's still valuable to you, please resubmit with any updated details. It's also worth mentioning that since this post our Product had a lot of new features and improvements implemented.

Tomás de Vasconcellos I think the problem with low engagement with all these items you are closing is that there are so many things we'd like to have updated or ideas we have and it's hard to look through the is entire board to find every idea we've ever had. It's also frustrating because nothing is time stamped. There is no way to know if this idea is a week old or 4 years old. Every single entry (orginal and follow up comments) should be date and time stamped.

Heather Stafford: Hi Heather! Thanks for being honest about this. You're right it's not obvious, posts and comments do carry a date, but it's small text under each entry, so how old something is gets lost.
On the cleanup itself, the intent is the same thing you're after, closing quiet old posts is meant to surface the active, relevant ones, not to dismiss anyone's ideas and closing doesn't delete a post or its votes, so anything still useful can be reopened. This one's a good example, it clearly still matters to several of you, so I've reopened it.

Yes! I agree. We were talking about archived clients today. When you are searching to make an appointment there isn't an option to search archived, only when using the client section. This doesn't make sense and takes too much time. You should find ALL people in the system and have the ability to unarchive someone who has come back.

Heather Stafford you can unarchive them already, which is handy. Just wish it would have a pop up to notify of a similar name as a duplicate or someone in the archive

This would be helpful and save time, plus make the client feel more special.
