auto save notes, they delete if you accidentally click out of the text box

when typing notes at the clients checkout, if you accidentally press out of the screen it deletes all your text. is it possible to have an autosave feature?
Is it also possible to set up templates in to client / appointment notes that automatically come up?
this is great for my SOP as my team need to write the below at the end of every visit:
- Updated AM/PM routine client is using
- full product protocol used on the day
- samples provide or recommended products discussed
- update on any life changes, dietary, hormones, medication, allergies etc
