Ability to add DAY of week to email confirmations and reminders or in all email communications

Hi
Is there a way to add the ‘DAY' of the week of an appointment to display in emails.  Currently the only options for display are:  is client name, date and time of appointment.
Some clients get their days and dates mixed and can no show for thier appointment. 
Adding the DAY along with the date will save confusion.  Thanks
