0 zero minute services!

Invisible services/ 0min services that respect processing time but do not block any time in a stylists schedule. This helps with online booking and allows the client to book accordingly. We are forced to use a 1 min service for a wash because if we don’t then the service does not respect the processing time. Example: if you do not book a finish/ shampoo/ etc. then an appointment that needs processing time can be booked at the end of the day. Also the 1 min service is awkward and blocks out too much time when the guests book on the 15min/ 30min etc. We can use this feature to build out packages accurately and streamline online booking.
Ex. Service 1 Hair Cut or No Hair Cut (0minute service)
Service 2 Single Process or No Single Process (0minute service)
Service 3 Balayage or No Balayage (0minute service)
Service 4 Blow Out or No Blow Out (0minute service)

For the end of day concern with online booking, we've solved that by using the Manager/Service/Advanced tab - Shut Down Time setting. If a gloss color takes 30 minutes + 30 minutes processing, the Shut Down time should be 65 or 70 minutes. That allows us to perform the service, process, and have 5 to 10 minutes to wash them out so that they are on schedule to leave when we close. Now that we've done that for all of our color services, it eliminated a lot of the online booking challenges.

Denise Dinyon what is the shut down time setting?

Heather, not certain what you're asking. I explained above where to find it in the Service record. It's a setting that keeps people from booking too close to closing time, so that you don't get caught with "invisible services' drifting past closing time when clients use online booking. Go to:
Manager

Advanced tab
