Phorest Tips not activating when clients pay with a voucher

Since we setup with Phorest Tips, our team are missing out on tips that clients would like to leave by using their card, but are actually paying for their services with vouchers. Is there a 'Tip' tab that can be added to the purchase screen that will allow clients just leave a tip using their card via the payment terminal, without us having to enter the amount? This was a concern of a client today; they didn't like the idea of us at the desk knowing how much they were leaving in tips!

Tell me if this tackles and solves your issue because I think the point you raise is controlled by a setting. Tipping is disabled by default on Gift Card/Voucher, Open Sales and Series/Course sales. To enable it, go to Manager > PhorestPay > Settings, and to make sure "Tip Prompt on Card Terminal" is enabled, then restart the card terminal for the change to take effect.

We have many clients who have the odd few pounds remaining on a voucher and want to use it as a tip. However when I select tip at the top it doesn't allow the tip to be added on to the treatment.
Clients get frustrated at this as they have good intentions that can't be fulfilled.
Can this be put into action please 🙏

We have the same issue, i think Phorest isn't use to businesses that redeem a lot of gift cards. We have a work around by making a up a service at zero cost and using it as a tip. That sends the amount to the cc reader and then the client enters a custom amount for the tip. I came from Mindbody and they had an option to tip even when the service was paid in full with a gift card. would be nice if Phorest can update for us high volume GC businesses
