Description of the Issue:

When I punch in at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, I am unable to punch out at 1:00 AM on Thursday. The system seems to only allow punch-in and punch-out on the same calendar day. This is causing problems for shifts that cross midnight.

Expected Behavior:

The system should allow employees to punch in on one day and punch out on the following day, as long as the punch times are logical (e.g., punch-in is before punch-out within a reasonable time frame).

Impact:

This issue prevents accurate time tracking for employees working late shifts that cross midnight, requiring manual corrections and potentially causing payroll errors.

Request:

Can IT update or configure the system so that:

Punch-in and punch-out can span across different calendar days (e.g., 8 PM Wednesday to 1 AM Thursday).

The system still validates that punch-out is after punch-in in terms of actual time worked.

Example Scenario:

Punch-in: 08/07/2025 8:00 PM (Wednesday)

Punch-out: 08/08/2025 1:00 AM (Thursday)

The system currently rejects this punch-out, but it should be considered valid.
